How Can Online Blogging Be Profitable to Ordinary Individuals?

The ranking of any website depends on a few factors. It would basically depend on the relevance of the article according to the key words used; the number of times that page has been linked and viewed, etc.

These are quite easy to follow, and if these factors are carefully noted and looked into, the rankings of your website can increase considerably.

The first step is to get your website linked through various other pages. The more the pages are that contain your links, the better ranking they will receive. The second aspect to be kept in mind is how often you update the content on your website.

Frequently edited and updated sites receive higher ranking in search engines than those that have not been looked at by the owners for years. Always editing the content of your website as a whole may not be an option.

In this case what you can do is add a Blog to your website. A Blog will function as nothing but a forum for people to come and discuss the themes that concern your website too.

It will create a platform, as well as become a journal whereby you can also post updates about your operations and your website. The advantage is that the content on such Blogs will not be restricted only to text, but pictures and videos can be posted too.

The few easy steps as described below will take you through how to create your own blog and what are the things you must look out for:

Cost can never be a problem because free blogging services are quite popular all over the world. If you choose sites like Blogger or WordPress, you are sure to get exactly the kind of platform you are looking for. They are absolutely free.

If you are not very comfortable with web designing techniques, you need not worry. Creating your blog is not as complicated as designing template for a website. These blogging services provide a wide range of templates from which you can choose the one most suited to your tastes.

You must also use your discretion while blogging. Especially if you are incorporating your blog within your website, or creating a blog to increase awareness of your product, you need to keep in mind that this is an open forum which is read by all. You do not want to say anything that may end up angering your clients. Politics and religion are the two most controversial themes, and therefore anything about those must be carefully blogged about.

Anything that is particularly reader friendly and does not anger too many people is considered 'safe'. If your aim is indeed to increase the ranking of your site, you will have to make sure many people read it. You can do this by making your content user friendly.

Also keep an eye on what other people write or say on their blogs. This can give you a general idea of what kind of responses those articles receive, and you can get valuable tips from them.

Blogging has come to be considered a highly effective marketing tool. You can easily create awareness of your product and get clients and customers to interact with each other. And not only customers, also those who are relatively new to your product get a platform to ask questions and clear their air about your product.

Moreover, it also increases your website rankings can increase because the blog is constantly being updated, commented on, and discussions are always going on. Because of its sheer activity, the rankings improve, creating more awareness of the product.

The following are the pointers based on which you can blog about your product:

Never make the blog post too long. It must be well written. Long posts tend to get dreary and they are not 'catchy' enough for people to sit and go through them.

Update regularly, since you don't have to write long posts ideally, blog 3-7 times a week.

Be entertaining where required, everyone can do with some light hearted humor, without being derogatory.

You need not stick only to text. Video and photo blogging are fast catching on and are interesting ways to share your thoughts, and make your videos and photographs well known.

Be yourself. Do not tape, imitate or copy someone else's content.

Marketing Your Website Offline

You would be surprised at how well this method ‘Marketing Your Website Offline” actually works, for MANY online niches. The ones that work best are:

  1. Make Money Online Opportunities
  2. Work from Home
  3. Weight Loss
  4. Travel
  5. Health/Fitness
  6. Beauty

There are quite a number of ways you can market your online business, offline. A very basic way is to have business cards made with your website address (URL) on the card nice and big. Leaving these business cards in the appropriate places (provided you have permission) works wonders!

For example, if you have a website that is in the 'make money online' niche, the best places to leave your business cards would be next to things that have to do with money. Next to the scratch-off lottery tickets at a convenient store or gas station is an excellent place to put a stack of cards that says "Make Money Online, Work From Home" or something related and more specific, such as "Earn $500 from Home!" and of course have your website URL nice and bold.

This can generate a lot of website traffic that you may have NEVER got if you hadn't put business cards in these key places. The weight loss niche is also a hot one. You can leave business cards at ice cream shops, burger places, gyms, spas, gas stations, convenient stores, etc. and get a great response as well.

Besides business cards there are: Flyers, Car Magnets, Signs, Newspaper Ads, Television or Radio Ads (can get a little expensive, but can also produce excellent results). Getting a local radio station to mention your URL and a brief description or sales pitch for your site can get you a lot of business and be very much worth a couple thousand dollars.

You can get as creative as you want with offline promotions. You can do direct mailing, put little signs in the ground where there is a lot of traffic (similar to the campaigning signs you see around everywhere only advertising your site). It is important that you do not break any city, county or federal rules and laws in your marketing efforts so always do your research as to what is allowed and what isn't.

START OUTSOURCING

Every successful person and/or corporation is involved in outsourcing of some sort. Usually, this is the very key that allows them to achieve the level of success that they do. If the owner of the Ford Motor Company had to make all the cars himself, do you think the company would be where they are today? The fact that they can outsource their work to enough people, who know what they are doing, makes them able to reach the success level that they desire.

You've heard the term, "Two heads are better than one." This rings true in a lot of aspects of life. It's kind of like that with outsourcing. If you can write 5 articles a day, that is great. However, if you can write 5 a day, and outsource another 5 articles per day, then that makes it 10 articles a day, instead of 5.

That just DOUBLED your marketing efforts right there, so as I said in the title of this report...You will increase your profits and enhance your business if you implement these tips. If you DOUBLE your output, you will have DOUBLE the results. Imagine if you outsourced a lot more often, or on a broader scale. Also, outsourcing will allow you to use the millionaire mindset of knowing that there are people out there who can do a better job than you can when it comes to certain tasks or skills. So instead of competing against these people, hire them!

Think about it, if you outsource a sales letter to a TOP sales copywriter, chances are that your product offer will convert A LOT more than it would if you wrote your own sales copy, or looked for a really low bargain. WIth excellent copywriting, an offer will tend to convert much better and sell many more copies -- which again, enhances your business as well as increases your profits.

GET INVOLVED WITH VIDEO MARKETING!

If you have not yet gotten into video marketing yet, this is SERIOUSLY the time to do so. Again, this is something else that can also be outsourced or done quite easily by yourself, at home. YouTube.com is owned by Google and everybody knows how fast your video gets indexed by Google for a specific keyword(s), and the traffic that a single video can generate.

If you are thinking that there is NO way that you can get involved in video marketing, because you just don't have the skills, equipment, or money -- Baloney! If you've ever filmed a friend or family member with a digital video camera or one of those camcorders from the 1980s, you can be a video marketer.

Basically, you can use a simple digital camera that has video capabilities, or you can borrow one from a friend (I am sure someone you know has one!). You can even ask them to help film you and get them in on it.

All you have to do is talk for a few minutes about whatever niche market you are in. You can give away tips, advice, or give a product review for a product that you are promoting. It can be either a product or service that you created, or one that you are promoting as an affiliate of course.

Putting the KEYWORD that you are targeting in the TITLE of the video is the best way to get your video listed on the search engines (Google) the fastest and highest ranking. There are also keyword tags that you can input in the 'tags' section of your video. It is very easy to get a FREE account with YouTube.com and it is also very easy and FREE to post as many videos as you like! This is a very powerful marketing tool right at your fingertips, and it's free.

Additionally, once you post a video to YouTube, not only will you receive traffic to your video from YouTube surfers, but also from Google searchers...But you will also be able to place the video on your website. They give you the embedded HTML code for you to simply 'copy and paste' into your website and/or blog. This gives your website the power of video -- without costing you a dime! You are surely leaving money on the table if you do not get involved with video marketing.

This tip has served as yet another way to enhance your Business and increase your Profits.

Thank you,

Enhance Your Business and Increase Your Profits

There are many things we as marketers can do in order to enhance our business and increase our profits. If we aren't doing everything we possibly can to make the most out of our businesses, then we are leaving money on the table, right? It's not rocket science and it certainly isn't difficult to understand.

This report is going to discuss 10 important, and possible crucial facts/ideas that if implemented, will increase your business as well as your profits.

Here they are:

1. PRIORITIZE

The first tip for enhancing your business and increasing your profits that I would like to share with you, is that you must 'prioritize' when you are working or conducting your business. This can be done in a lot of ways and in a lot of different aspects.

For instance, what is a bigger priority, hanging out on the Warrior Forum's Main Discussion section, OR writing an article (or two or three!) to promote your website, product or services? Obviously the latter should be a higher priority, but which one do you often choose to do instead? An article can be written in anywhere from 15 minutes, to an hour. Even I find myself spending anywhere from 10 minutes to several hours on the forum when I could be doing much more for my business. (Not that the information on the forum doesn't help your business, because it very much does!).

This is just one example of something you can do to prioritize your TIME better. You can also prioritize other things just as strategically. You can prioritize which projects or tasks you will work on first and in order of importance.

One problem that many marketers (and Warriors) face, is checking their stats or email much more often than needed, which takes them away from important tasks that should be getting done.

2. ADD A NEW MARKETING TECHNIQUE TO YOUR ROUTINE

This tip is an extremely effective one. Let's say you have 4 main marketing methods that you use to promote your business. Just as an example, let's say those 4 methods were:

  1. Pay-Per-Click Advertising (PPC)
  2. Classified Ads (Craigslist, etc.)
  3. Social Network Marketing
  4. Blogging

This is an excellent group of advertising methods to combine and implement. But, what if you were to add another marketing method in there, such as article writing for example. That would make it 5 methods instead of 4, making your new 'article marketing' method encompass a whopping 20% of your advertising!

That means you can add a lot of business and increase your profits by a significant amount by adding new marketing methods to your existing campaign.

You can add more than one method for even better results. There are many marketing techniques that are great to add to your repertoire, like:

  1. SEO
  2. Link Building
  3. Article Writing
  4. PPC
  5. Blogging
  6. Social Network Marketing
  7. Classified Ad Marketing
  8. Offline Marketing (Business Cards, Flyers, Car Magnet, etc.)
  9. Offline Newspaper Classified Ads
  10. Answer Board Marketing
  11. Video Marketing (YouTube Marketing, etc.)
  12. Building a List
  13. Landing a JV
  14. Email Marketing
  15. Forum Marketing (Other than IM Niche)
  16. Outsourcing
  17. Etc.

There are more, but I am sure there are at least ONE of the above things that you are not doing at all, or not doing enough of.

If you add one or more of the above marketing methods to your existing marketing efforts, I believe you will increase your profits and enhance your business over this next upcoming year.

Thank you,

Internet Marketing Information - How to Overcome Information Overload

Information overload is extremely hard to deal with. Most marketers who get started with internet marketing are usually very ecstatic to take on all of the information and resources in, but when they realize that there are so much that gets involved with building an online business, they give up and they find it hard to overcome all of the information that they get.

Information overload is about learning and researching, only to find yourself covered by so much information.

Overcoming information overload is not too difficult, but it can take some time before you truly beat the confusion and the difficulties.

The best way to overcome all of that information is by taking everything one by one. Don't confuse yourself by learning everything all at one time.

You should also ignore following different methods and following only one. In other words, if you realize that you need to build a website, build a website first without moving on to the next thing.

Most people will usually build a website and build back links all at the same time. Others will even develop one website selling an affiliate product while they learn about another different way to make affiliate sales. So, it's only normal for these marketers to feel confused by all the misunderstood information.

Take your time, and you will find that affiliate marketing is not hard to make money with.

To get started on the right path, don't keep learning from different sources. Basically, if you find a great mentor, continue to work with that same mentor. They know where you started, and they know how you should continue.

If you bought an eBook or joined an online training class, follow everything one by one.

This will help you to do everything without putting so much pressure on yourself.

Internet Marketing Information - Creating a Tailored Internet Marketing Plan

Internet Marketing Information - Creating a Tailored Internet Marketing Plan

There are numerous aspects involved in developing an Internet marketing plan.

From budget to end goal, website marketing is a long-term process.

It is also a detailed process, which is the reason many site owners hire a marketing specialist to help them plan.

To start with, you must think about the major goal of the marketing campaign. Do you want to increase customer loyalty, boost brand awareness or sell products?

A correctly executed Internet marketing strategy can take a new commerce business to new levels if all steps are geared toward reaching that final goal.

Your campaign will be limited by your marketing budget. Many website owners start with a small amount of money, gradually increasing the budget to the highest, but still a comfortable level.

An Internet marketing budget can be unlimited, and you may never reach your entire customer base.

Stick with what you can afford, and work within your budget's confines.

Learn about the direct competitors in your niche by searching for your website's keywords.

You will realize that some businesses are more competitive than others. And potential customers who are searching for services or products offered by your company will usually choose highly ranked websites.

Therefore, any site listed above your site is a competitor. Thoroughly research their services and products, and learn their strengths and weaknesses. Make any necessary improvements to your website.

Remember, a site is similar to a store front. The more enticing the website’s design, the more traffic and sales the business will garner.

Your services and products should not be carbon copies of your competitors, even if you must increase the quality of your items or include extras in your service packages.

Finally, identify the customer base you want to target, and advertise in places where they frequent.

There are even some sites, particularly social networks that will place business advertisements in front of a certain audiences to which the ads are targeted.

Internet Marketing Information - What Is The Best Online Marketing Course? Find Out

Internet Marketing Information - What Is The Best Online Marketing Course? Find Out

No single course will give you all you need to make a full-time living online. When was the last time you picked up a course, devoured it and went on to make tons of money without reading from any other source.

I would say never because there is so much information to take in online that you can never just learn from one source. If you want to make money online you need to figure out a few things about yourself before you invest any money in any course.

First and foremost is to figure out if you have the motivation to leave your job and work for yourself?

At your job, you are given orders. By working for yourself, you will need to be organized, disciplined and focused. Do you have those traits? If not, it might be easier just to continue working for others until you discipline yourself.

If you spend tons of money on courses and don’t have the discipline or focus to work, then no course will be valuable to you. If you have the discipline and the focus, you can start earning money by using the free resources available online.

Just take a look at the free article directories. There are tons of useful information to help you get started.

There is no ‘one’ secret to making tons of money online. There are certain insiders tips and tactics to help you succeed with topics such as writing articles, submitting press releases, improving search engine placement etc, but none of those tactics will be useful to you unless you master the ability to be disciplined, focused and consistent.

Master those and I guarantee you will have more success. If you don’t have those traits, you will just continue to purchase courses, software and programs to build a collection of digital waste.

To tell you the truth, when I started off, I was not sure if I had what it takes to work for myself. I over came my limitations because I focused on the end result and not the process of working.

For me it was a do or die kind of mentality which made me have success in my business. So stop searching for the perfect course. Someone else's perfect course may not be what you like to do.

Get specific in what you are looking for and evaluate yourself to see if you will actually take the necessary steps to follow through what the course teaches.

Internet Marketing Information - Social Bookmarking Could Be The Ultimate Viral Marketing Tool

Social Bookmarking could be one of the best things that ever happened to websites and blogs.

Basically Social Bookmarketing sites allow users to create a set of content bookmarks.

These bookmarks are organized by tags, which are (usually) arbitrary words or phrases the user can assign to content. This gives the user a way to classify, rank and organize content using tags.

The most popular Social Bookmarking Site is del.ici.ous, which has millions of users.

Social Bookmarking sites have an intrinsic advantage over search engines and other bots — people choose what to bookmark rather than relying on a program to categorize and qualify the content.

There is an implied quality in something that someone has taken the time to select.

Social Bookmarkers read other people’s bookmarks and add them to their own if they like them.

There are also RSS feeds so people can see what others are tagging, which I think is really cool, and a textbook example of viral marketing.

There is a terrific WordPress plugin called Sociable that allows direct tagging for tons of Social Bookmarking sites. If you do not have it as part of your blog you should get it and install it today.

This blog is being redesigned and should be done in a few weeks. The new design will incorporate Sociable.

So…what can YOU do to get the social bookmarking virus ramped up?

I see two basic considerations:

1. Write good content. Darren Rouse had an interesting observation about del.icio.us items that make it to the top of the site. You can take a look, but basically he observes that lists, how-tos, technical articles and humor get to the top faster.

2. Give people the tools to bookmark easily. If you have a blog, use Sociable. It is terrific. If you have a site, there are plenty of interesting tools that will help you make it easy for your visitors to bookmark your content. AddtoBookmarks.com is a good one.

There are Social Bookmarking sites popping up all over the place.

Internet Marketing Information - Online Marketing And Using Calls To Action

Let’s start with a clear understanding of what a call to action actually is. A call to action is an element or something that entices a reader or viewer to take note or make a decision based upon it.

Relating this directly to the Internet and websites and blogs, a website call to action could be something like "Add to Shopping Cart", "Buy Now" or "Subscribe to Newsletter". The main goal of a call to action is to persuade the visitor to click on or interact further with your website or blog, hopefully ending in the visitor buying a product or service or another conversion goal.

It is often seen that blue underlined text (URL) is clicked on more by website visitors when given a choice because these have been the default standard for many years. It is also believed that the blue text is associated with calming and trust so it more likely to be clicked.

Having described what a call to action is it should be clear that every good business website or blog have at least one call to action on every single page within the website. Given the nature of websites it is often important to give a couple of call to action options to users.

When a visitor progresses through your website, you should be able to follow the path your website visitors have made along the path of persuasion towards your conversion goal. Ideally this would give you a clear idea on what calls to action are working and what ones are not along the desired flow of your conversion process.

A good website will be laid out in such a way that when a visitor wants to make a slight detour to find out more information correctly placed and worded calls to action are there to guide them back on your conversion path.

So, why do you need a call to action on your website or blog? Many studies have shown that if a website visitor does not find what they are looking for within 3 seconds they will exit your website.

Many SEO experts will only focus on getting a website into the top few results but there should also be focus on the overall online marketing strategy. Any good SEO and Online Marketing company will be able to guide you in a complete online marketing strategy. It is important to know that selling the websites product or service and using calls to action to get visitors through your conversion path is of equal importance to the overall SEO plan.

A well thought out call to action in an overall online marketing campaign will provide you with more sales, lead generation and constant predictable results.

When choosing an SEO and Online Marketing company it is important to take some time and do your own research. The simplest form of research is to search in Google for SEO or Online Marketing and see how good the SEO firm is at selling their own products and services. If they are positioned well for their own services then they are likely to be able to successfully market your products and services online.

The New Internet Marketing Agency Revolution

The New Internet Marketing Agency Revolution

Let’s take a quick look through the world of marketing to see what it was, what it has became and what it is now.

The following are three stages of the Internet Marketing Agency as it evolved:

Stage One – Newspaper, magazines, radio broadcasts, direct mail, telemarketing, cold calling, television, infomercials…

Stage Two – Websites, banner ads, reciprocal links, ezine publishing, search engine optimization, pay-per-click, opt-in email, blogs... Then comes

Stage Three – Marketing via podcasts?

Similar to the concept of opt-in email, podcasting takes full advantage of technology in reaching a pre-qualified, self-selected audience that craves the information and expertise a podcaster provides. Podcasting gives the strategy of establishing yourself as an expert a whole new playground.

Podcasting is the ultimate tool for reaching a fully-qualified target audience. A podcast is an audio broadcast published to the internet. The broadcast is delivered to subscribers via a feed, usually in an MP3 file format.

For years consulting and service companies have realized that the way to a client’s heart is through information sharing. Be it through trade shows, conferences, seminars, newsletters, or free articles, providing useful information on a topic that potential clients are interested in grabs them – hook, line and sinker.

When a prospect first subscribes to a podcast, they likely are not ready to buy products or services from the podcaster’s company. Chances are they are just getting their feet wet, searching for information. With useful information delivered via a podcast day after day, weekly or monthly, the receiver will realize the value of the expertise demonstrated. Thus, when they are ready to become buyers rather than browsers, the podcaster has the lead.

As an advertising medium podcasts can be used just like a newsletter or press release. For instance, a tax consulting firm may publish a monthly newsletter giving updates on tax laws, information about tax shelters, tips for tax deductions and notification of available services. The newsletters will likely contain contact information and will encourage readers to contract the services of the tax consulting firm.

A podcast can be used in the same way. The only difference is the news and information is delivered via an audio broadcast rather than through an electronic or print newsletter.

There are many advantages to podcasting. In comparison to other types of advertising, it is relatively inexpensive. Podcasts are delivered to a targeted audience, leave a lasting impression on subscribers and establish the provider as an expert in the field. Regularly published podcasts keep the provider’s name and contact information fresh in the minds of the recipients and vast amounts of business can be obtained as a result.

Great Ideas For Getting Traffic To Your Website

Great Ideas For Getting Traffic To Your Website

Traffic is the key element to any website. A website is created to provide and share information to those looking for that information. Websites are also used as a source of income for those who promote products or services on their website. A website is not much good if it gets no visitors.

There are a number of ways to get traffic to your website such as using search engines, recommendations or directories.

Search engines are where people search for particular keywords or phrases and are given a list of website results that relate to their search term. If your website ranks highly for the phrase or keyword a person is looking for then your website will be displayed in the results and your site will get good traffic. Recommendations are when other internet users or other websites recommend your site to others. Directories are specific websites that list sites in their different categories. You can submit your website to different directories for listing and it can then be accessed by people searching for information in that category.

To get a good amount of traffic from search engines your website needs to be ranked reasonably high. The same goes for getting traffic from directories. Recommendations can happen any time when you have one happy customer they are more likely to recommend you to others. If you provide a good product or service then you may receive some word of mouth traffic.

There are three good ways to get traffic to your website and there are quite a few other methods that you can also use. You can get traffic through organic placement which is when your site is being located because it is getting a lot of hits. If a lot of people are finding your website with search engine results then your rankings can climb even higher because of its popularity. You can increase the popularity of your website by actively promoting it and by optimizing it well for the relevant keywords and keyword phrases.

Getting traffic to your website can be a lot of work but if you are willing to work hard then the results will be worth that effort. The more traffic your website begins to receive the more popular it becomes and that will help it to rank even higher, giving you even more traffic. You need to set goals for your business and when you begin to see more traffic coming to your site and you are getting closer to reaching those goals you will know all your hard work has been worth it.

To increase your sites traffic even more you can try other simple traffic methods like article marketing, blogging, video marketing, forum marketing and RSS feeds. If your website contains good quality information then you will also get many return visitors. A website that stands out from the crowd and has something good to offer it's visitors is a website that will continue to rise in popularity and in traffic.

An Overview of Internet Marketing

The term Internet Marketing has two different meanings. In general it is a synonym for multi -level marketing and often by mistake considered by same as a pyramid scheme.

The idea of Internet Marketing is often used to describe a marketing concept that emphasizes on the inter-connectivity of market players and transactions and can be observed as the application of systems thinking to marketing. According to network marketing premise other marketing schemes see the discipline as constant dyadic relationships such as one buyer and one seller.

Network marketing tries to rise above this constraint by looking at transactions and relationships from the perspective of all those concerned.

These outlook initiated in industrial marketing, also called B2B marketing, where multiple contact points are distinctive. It is not rare to have a number of decision makers in a company's purchasing centre.

Likewise, the marketer can be planned into a selling team. With multiple players on each side of the transaction, a complicated network is created. This paradigm is further intricate by resultant players like information gatekeepers, influencers, business promoters, advertisers, and middleman.

This network can expand over time as more people get engaged.

The network marketing phenomenon considers marketing as a structure of social networks where the associations between each of the links must be tacit, simultaneously counting potential feedback loops; the system must be realized as a whole.

Instead of using the regular distribution course that moves from manufacturer to warehouser to wholesaler to retailer to end customer.

Network Marketing companies use a network of independent marketers to pass the products directly from the manufacturer to the end customer.

The independent marketers make a percentage of the profit in each sale they make. While it is possible and highly recommended to make an income by selling to end customers directly, the real clout of Network Marketing is that you are allowed to build a layer of other independent marketers below you, and make a percentage of their combined sales.

There is limited amount of time that a person can spend working. By having a sub layers working with a marketer, he or she can multiply that time. Imagine having sub layers of 100 people each putting in their efforts for only an hour a day for five days a week.

In one month 20,000 hours of work would be done. It would take one person 10 years to produce the same amount of work.

Internet Marketing Information Affiliate Marketing Tip

Internet Marketing Information

Affiliate Marketing Tip – Write A Free Ebook

Writing a free ebook is a great way to sell more affiliate products. The ebook can work for you in two different ways and I encourage you to use both methods in each free ebook you write.

The first way is to promote affiliate links directly in your ebook where appropriate. You can casually mention a product in the body of a particular chapter, review a product as part of your ebook, or add an “Additional Resources” section to the end of the book.

The second way is to link to your content site from your ebook. You can offer additional information on the site or link to a review page. By sending your readers to your website you get the chance to expose them to additional affiliate products and have the opportunity to get them on your newsletter list.

Let’s take a look at how you can get started on your first ebook.

Find a topic that you are fairly knowledgeable about and come up with an overall theme for the book. What are people looking for on the particular topic? For example, parents of infants will be interested in tips and strategies to get their baby to sleep through the night. A mom looking for a work at home job may be interested in how to spot a work at home scam and where to look for legitimate jobs.

Come up with an outline, or group some related articles you have written on a particular topic. Now all you have to do is flesh it out a little bit and of course incorporate your affiliate links. An ebook typically consists of at least 25 pages. That may sound like a lot, but you should keep your font size fairly large to make it easier to read on a computer screen.

Let’s talk about format for a moment. You can purchase software to create an ebook, or you can make it a PDF document. PDF documents will work on just about any computer and people are comfortable downloading them.

I usually write my ebooks in Microsoft Word, format it in there, add any pictures or graphics and then turn it into a PFD. You can either do this with Microsoft Acrobat, or use one of the free PDF creation services on the web.

Your next step will be to get the ebook circulating. After all you are not going to make any affiliate sales if no one reads your book. You can offer it as a free download on your site or give it away as a bonus for subscribing to your newsletter. I also like to add a note in the footer of each page that the reader is welcome to pass the book along to others who might be interested in the topic.

Offer the ebook as a free giveaway to other website owners and post it on the free ebook directories. Then sit back and watch the book do the work for you. After a few weeks you should see the affiliate sales come in. Time to move on to another book.

Internet Marketing Information - Three Ways To Expand Your Business

Internet Marketing Information

Three Ways to Expand Your Business

1. Find Your Niche

Chances are, you already have a target audience that you are marketing your products to.

Let's face it, you are probably looking for ways to increase your market audience and profit...or you probably would not be reading this article. Here is the real facts you do not have to find a wider audience to increase you sales.

Have you noticed similar characteristics that groups within your target audience have in common?

Maybe you have a group of businessmen or women, a group of young mothers, and a group of retirees that frequently make purchases. That is just the setup I am talking about.

Pay attention to the individual characteristics of each group, and divide your advertising into similar segments, or niches. Focus on the specific needs of the group in the advertising products you put out. General advertisements are not as effective as more specific ads.

Hey, we all sit up and pay attention to someone who recognizes our specific needs and desires!

2. Create A Unique Selling Point

Why should someone buy from you and not your competitor?

I hate to deal a blow to your ego, but it really has nothing to do with you , your product, or your service. Yeah, its a little self-centered, but customers are attracted by offers that point out the things that benefit THEM.

If you want to stand out from the crowd, create a unique selling proposition that stresses the benefits the customers will receive from doing business with you. Will they get faster service? Go ahead and dramatize it, but keep the customer at the focus..."Get free overnight delivery!" Hey, it tells the customer...you get quick service and a discount on shipping. Two definite benefits in one statement.

Don't go out on a limb to create new products and services to get attention. Just, add a special benefit to the ones you already have... maybe it is a quicker service. The most effective things to emphasize are benefits that your competition cannot or is not willing to give.

3. Offer Your Way To Greater Profits

How many times have you began man hunting?

Sure, as a marketer you scrounge and search for brand new or ancient methods of drawing brand new faces to your place of business. The fact of the matter is that you do not have to find new customers for your sales to grow.

No, in fact you can take the current business you have and send your profits to the moon with one easy technique... make an offer.

Greet every sale with an offer of an item that is related to the purchase. The offered product does not even have to be yours.

The Internet is wonderful for affiliate marketers who can make great profits selling the material of others.

Making your business grow does not have to be a stressful, backbreaking or frantic process. Simply implement these three strategies, and watch it boom!

Internet Marketing Information

Word of Mouth Marketing on The Web

Online marketing presents you with an opportunity to get more bang for your buck compared to traditional marketing. This is particularly true for word of mouth marketing.

Word of Mouth Marketing on The Web

Word of mouth marketing refers to a type of marketing that promotes something by enticing independent parties to promote the service, idea or product to friends.

The idea is to create a buzz for the subject matter. In creating the buzz, the goal is to create enough word of mouth momentum to get the idea to spread quickly. People are the sole conduit for the momentum.

If you get it right, an entire product can become an established success with little or no paid marketing.

A classic example of word of mouth marketing, often called viral, is the situation involving Red Bull. Red Bull is an energy drink. When it was first introduced in Europe, rumors spread that the drink was an aphrodisiac. Nobody knows who started the rumors, but Red Bull became very popular. It then evolved into a mixer for alcoholic drinks in nightclubs and the rest is history. It is a hugely popular product and much of the popularity arose through this word of mouth process.

Word of mouth marketing online works in much the same way. The primary difference is it tends to happen much quicker than in the real word. The Internet is full of forums where like minded people congregate. A new, cool product, idea or service can blow up a site over night. If you don’t believe me, consider the wild success of the My Space platform, Napster, EBay and so on.

Most of these sites grew into behemoths because of word of mouth endorsements, not paid advertising.

Obviously, this type of marketing can lead to tremendous riches. Unfortunately, it isn’t particularly easy to accomplish. Everyone is trying to do it, so you really need to be pushing something unique.

If you can come up with something, it is time to hit forums and other sites to create a buzz.

A traditional way to pursue viral marketing online is to offer a free e-book. The book will detail your thoughts on some subject matter, such as marketing.

One makes the book available for downloading and also allows people to send it to others. If you are offering something of quality, the book should spread quickly to thousands and thousands of people.

The ultimate goal is to promote it over and over until hundreds of thousands of people have read it. At that point, you write another e-book which you sell for $3 to $7.

If people liked the first book, they will buy the second.

If 100,000 read the first one and only 10 percent buy the second, you will have 10,000 sales.

This strategy has been pursued over and over by many authors.

The word of mouth approach is definitely a hit and miss strategy. The large online communities make it a viable strategy, but there are a lot of people trying to do it.

If you fail 50 times, but succeed once, life will be very good.

Are You Flirting With Me - Marketing Attraction

Whether you love it or hate it, marketing and sales are critical to the life blood of any business. You can make it more fun, if you take the approach that you want to seriously flirt with a growing list of prospects.

Marketing attraction. It sounds like flirting doesn't it? And in a way, that's exactly right.

You do want to flirt with your prospects, to allow them to get to know, like, and trust you. Since it takes upwards of 7 touches to make a sale today, you need to attract them to your product, service, or program in many different ways.

One critical element you must have in your basket of attraction tools today is a fully developed web presence.

People are most likely to google for you or your service or the benefit/solution they seek first. They are less likely to open the telephone book and flip through the yellow pages. The future of your marketing reach is the internet.

Even with the internet, you need an arsenal of marketing strategies to reach your prospects and attract them to your product and services. You can't flirt with them, if they can't find you.

Here are a few ideas which you can do quickly and on a budget. They are culled from the likes of Mitch Meyerson, Jay Conrad Levinson, Seth Godin, and Bea Fields.

On your website:

  1. Build a powerful direct response entity
  2. Make sure your headlines are engaging with a problem/solution approach
  3. Direct their eyes to the one thing you want them to do
On your email signature:

  1. Include your business contact information, of course
  2. Promote one thing - a new product, service, newsletter, article, free conference call

This is your best and first opportunity to ask everyone to engage with you and your company

Develop relationships for referral business - complementary services serving the same market niche and get listed on their websites

Include client testimonials - use them in all your printed and online collateral materials.

The hottest new thing is audio and video testimonials you put up on your site.

Use audio and video conferencing from your PC for sales, presentations, meetings. They work effectively for a prospects, clients and vendors. It's no longer novel. It's cost effective, timely, direct, and can be very interactive.

Write articles and press releases about everything you do and get them published in print but more importantly across the web.

Yes, all of these are ideas you can do yourself, burning the midnight oil.

But what's even better, is that these tools and systems can be delegated and automated - one more way for you to generate more profit in less time.

How To Get Your Business Noticed

Internet Marketing Information

How To Get Your Business Noticed

Many people will tell you that to get your web site noticed you need to optimize your site for the search engines. You are then led up a path where you have to keep changing your web site as the search engines change their ways of listing things. As fast as you optimize your site, Google and the others have moved the goal posts, meaning you have to keep optimizing over and over again.

Now consider some facts.

Most people in the world are not users of the Internet. Let's repeat that. The vast majority of people who you want to reach do not use the Internet. It doesn't matter how well you optimize your web site, they simply will never find it.

Here is another fact. Some of the best Internet marketers make most of their sales offline. They sell their books, CD-ROMs and so on at seminars, workshops and conferences. Indeed, for many Internet marketers these offline sales represent the bulk of their income.

So what do these facts tell us? They show us that offline promotion is more important than online promotion. You may be able to optimize your web site to get high rankings in a search engine. But that does not mean you will reach the vast majority of people who could buy your product or use your information.

This was confirmed recently by one study that showed most people go to an Internet address (URL) after having read it in a newspaper or magazine, been given it by a friend or colleague, or having heard it being mentioned by someone speaking at a meeting or on TV.

In other words, it seems that significant numbers of people who get to your web site will do so having heard the URL somewhere outside the Internet.

You can get many people visiting your web site, even if you are not ranked highly by the search engines.

You can do this in two main ways:

1. Write articles to be used in regular publications - newspapers, magazines and so on. Always include your URL in the article and you will get millions of people to notice your web site address.

2. Speak at every opportunity. Make presentations to business clubs, chambers of commerce, local societies - you name it, you should speak at it. Every time you speak, announce your web site address.

Although these are the two principal ways of gaining offline publicity for your web site, don't neglect your business stationery, posters, car stickers and so on.

The more your web site address is visible outside the web, the more visitors you will get regardless of how kind the search engines are to you.

Finding A Legitimate Network Marketing Opportunity

Internet Marketing Information

Finding A Legitimate Network Marketing Opportunity

Commonly referred to as multi-level marketing, network marketing is a concept where individuals come together with a parent company and act as independent contractors in the sales of a product or service. In return for helping to promote and sell the parent company’s product or service, individuals are financially compensated in an amount that has already been determined. The actual amount of compensation will vary from one network marketing opportunity to another and will be strictly dependant upon the company’s policy.

A legitimate network marketing opportunity will not grant money for recruiting new members, which are required to pay sign-up fees. Instead, they should be paid based on the commissions that they earn from the sale of a product or service. One of the main problems that many network marketing companies face is their comparison to illegal pyramid scams. However, there are a large number of legitimate network marketing companies that operate regularly in every state and in dozens of countries. Today, they are commonly referred to as affiliate marketing or programs.

The best way to distinguish a legitimate network marketing program from a fraudulent operation is through the company’s policy. First and foremost, questionable operations will require high entrance fees and/or the requirement for members to purchase expensive products. Typically, these types of companies fail rapidly when the merchandise cannot be resold for profit, which leaves the members in financial distress and the founders with a large bank account.

With the increasing popularity of the internet, it is important that entrepreneurs be able to recognize the differences between a legitimate and fraudulent company. As a general rule, affiliates should never have to pay a sign-up fee in order to help a company sell it’s products. Simply put, it makes no sense to pay money in an effort to help someone else promote and sell their products. Instead, it is more realistic that the sign-up be free and the individual be paid based on the sales that they generate for the company.

The majority of large internet retailers offer affiliate programs, which allow members to track their commissions and log in to their account at any time. One of the best ways to ensure a network marketing opportunity is legitimate is to know the parent company’s reputation by checking with the Better Business Bureau and through speaking with other entrepreneurs and gaining feedback on their experiences. Every day, individuals find great success or simply a way to earn extra cash through a combination of the internet and a legitimate network marketing opportunity.

How do I Find a Niche?

Internet Marketing Information

How do I Find a Niche?

If you haven't heard the word 'niche' being batted around by Internet Marketers then you haven't been listening. Finding a niche has become the antidote to competing in overly saturated online markets.

First Of All, What is a niche?

According to Merriam-Webster's Online Dictionary a niche is described as "a place, employment, status, or activity for which a person or thing is best fitted... a specialized market".

Have you noticed that despite the closing of many businesses in these harsh economic times, the local hobby train store is still around? That the 'hole-in-the-wall' eatery is thriving? Or that trends such as scrapbooking can start with a bang and still close within a year when four similar businesses start up in the same area?

The online business world reflects the same trends as experienced in the offline world - often with faster turnover and startup rates. Those who promote a product or site that targets a small, select audience can tap into a market that is otherwise not being served.

Despite the limitations of the client base, the targeted nature of the business creates a devoted and active market - the aim of any business.

How do I Find A Niche?

Finding a niche requires diligent research. Whether you have access to software that harvests and sorts information or you take a manual approach you must first start with ideas.

With a pen and paper (or computer, if that's more comfortable) brainstorm a list of businesses, products and industries. Create a list of keywords and phrases you think would be used by individuals looking for these items online.

Use a software program such as Wordtracker or a free resource such as the Google Keyword Selector Tool to find keywords for your niche that have a high amount of traffic.

Although a program like Wordtracker makes it easy to find details such as how many sites compete for that market, you can also do your own research.

Concentrate your attention on question phrases such as "how do I..." or "where can I...". These questions will clue you into potential markets that need servicing.

Next, look in Google Answers. Type one of your keywords into the search area. What questions are being asked and how much are people willing to pay for answers? If you find a group of keywords with a high number of questions then enter these words in your browser's search engine.

What sites come up? Do they provide answers or solutions to the problem? How are they making money? Can you see an opportunity to service these individuals?

Finding a niche can open the door to a profitable online business. Research the market and be certain that your product or service is valuable to this group.

Find forums or groups that target this audience and pay close attention to their concerns.

If you can help these people you WILL make money. The best of both worlds!

Effective Link Building Strategies by Ida Mae Boyd

Internet Marketing Information

Effective Link Building Strategies by Ida Mae Boyd

Building links pointing back to your website can be a very time consuming task and sometimes you might not know where to start. Let's take a look at some effective link building strategies.

1. Contact other website owners and offer a link exchange. It is a good idea to contact website owners with sites in the same niche as yours. You can create a 'recommended sites' page or list on your site where you can place links to other sites that agree to a link exchange.

2. Create a 'link to us' section on your website. This is to make an offer to your website visitors to link back to your website. Give them all the information that they will need to link to your site such as URL and anchor text. Have a section where they can leave their details for you to link to their site.

3. Make sure that your website contains good quality information (keyword specific) so that other website owners will want to link to your site. Website owners don't want to be linking to a site that is not of good quality so the quality of your website is always important for link building.

4. Search the internet for other websites that may mention your website or your website keyword specific content but do not include a link to your site. Contact those website owners and ask them to include a link to your website.

5. Post comments on blogs and include a link back to your website. Always make appropriate comments that are related to the post topic or your comment will not likely be approved it is looks like spam.

6. Use internal link building from within your own site. For example, when you create a new page or post on your website you can include a link to your main home page or any other page on your site.

7. Article marketing is a very effective way to build backlinks. Write some good quality articles and submit them to article directories and include a link to your site in the resource box.

8. Offer to do a guest post on someone's blog. When you write a guest post for someone else's blog they get the benefit of new content for their blog and you get the benefit of being able to include a link back to your site.

9. Look at your competitor’s backlinks and see if you can get some of those same sites to link to your website.

10. Use social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc. to build backlinks to your site.

These are ten great link building strategies and you can use all of them or some of them. The important thing is to use some methods and put in the effort that is required for effective link building.

How Building A Website Can Get You Free Traffic

Internet Marketing Information

How Building A Website Can Get You Free Traffic

If you have a website then you need to have visitors coming to that site. After all, what is the point of having a website if nobody sees it and a website certainly won't make any money if there are no visitors. Getting traffic to your website however can be difficult. One method for driving traffic to your website is to use the search engines to your advantage. If your website ranks high in the search engines then you can receive a lot of free traffic to your site. Let's take a look at how to create a website to gain free traffic.

First you want to choose your topic wisely and you can get ideas from magazines, television, books, newsletters and even from your competitors.

Once you have decided on your topic you will then need to do some keyword research to find what keywords and phrases people are searching for in the search engines. You do not want to only target the main keyword for your niche, but find some long tail keyword phrases that people are searching for.

You can use a free tool like Google Keyword Tool to find out how many searches a particular keyword phrase will get per month and this tool will also give you other keyword suggestions.

When you have found some good keywords that have a lot of searches every month you then want to study the competition for those keyword phrases. You can search the keyword phrase in Google and look at the top ten websites for that phrase. Try to choose keyword phrases with websites in the top ten that you think you can outrank. You can also look at the design of these websites and how they have created the sites and use that information as you decide how to set up your own website. You don't want to copy another website but you can get some ideas from other sites.

When you have chosen your keyword phrases you then need to start writing some articles and include your keyword phrases in the article. You can write an article for each keyword phrase that you found. If you like you can even add an affiliate link to promote a product or service relating to your niche. When you promote products and services in your niche just be careful that your articles are not too promotional, you want to be subtle and include a subtle link to your site.

Next you will build your website and add your articles to the site. Create a page for each keyword phrase that you are targeting. Remember when you create your site and your pages to try some techniques that your competitors are using.

Include your keywords within the title of your page, description and also include them in the ALT tags of the site. You can also use images in your article as this makes the article more interesting for your readers. An interesting website is one that will have return visitors.

For each keyword phrase that you researched you create a new page with a new article and you can then try to rank each page for its given keyword phrase. Use the same layout and method as the first page on your other pages including the keyword in the title, etc.

If you fill your website with good quality information then Google will index your site and rank it. The more quality content you add to your site the more the search engines will favor it.

Once you have content on your site you will need to spend some time promoting your site and building some backlinks to it. The search engines also favor websites that have good quality backlinks to it. All this hard work will give you high rankings over time and when your website starts to rank high you will begin to see a lot of free traffic.

It will take time for the search engines to rank your site high and the more work that you put into that site the better the ranking will be. When you put the effort into each page for those different keyword phrases then you can have a site that ranks highly for multiple keyword phrases which will increase the traffic quite a bit.

Did You Know That CPA Networks Are Another Way To Make Money On Line

Internet Marketing Information

Did You Know That CPA Networks Are Another Way To Make Money On Line

If you are looking for ways to make money online, then CPA networks are a good choice. CPA stands for 'Cost Per Action', and you get paid by the network whenever someone performs the required action through your link; for example, if they want a person's e-mail address, then they will pay you for each e-mail received. There are many other "actions" you can get paid for, depending on what each network is looking for.

You can begin by signing up with a single network, then once you start getting the hang of it, you can join more and more of them to bring in even more income. Almost all CPA networks require an application to be filled out, along with an approval process. This can sometimes take a few days, but be patient. The way it usually works is that they will review your application, and then call you on the telephone to talk in person (so be sure to fill out the application form with accurate information). Networks typically want to know how you are going to market their offer and what qualifications you have. What they are really trying to do is make sure you know what you're doing and that you won't do anything to damage their brand.

If you are accepted you will have an affiliate manager assigned to you. The manager will help you figure out which offers are best for you to promote and how to get the most from your efforts. They are there to help, and it is for your mutual interest. Work closely with them and you will not only have a better chance of success, but you will not have to worry about being dropped by the CPA networks.

You may be excited to start promoting your offers everywhere, in any way you can. But not so fast! It is always best to read all of the terms of service and understand what you will be paid for and how. Each CPA network will have its own rules, and it is up to you to know them. For examples, some may not allow you to use certain keywords in a pay per click campaign. Talk to your personal affiliate manager if you need any clarification of the rules.

There are plenty of CPA networks to choose from, but some are better than others. Research how good each one is before deciding whether or not you want to submit your application to them. You can find reviews of various networks online. Be careful, though, as some of those reviews are dishonest. The best thing to do is read as many reviews as you can and then look for an overall pattern to see how good the program is.

Now that you know more about CPA networks, it is up to you to follow through on this information. Doing nothing is the surest way to make nothing, but when you take action now even something as small as starting looking for CPA companies counts you will be starting down the right path to success.

Follow Up Email AutoResponder Consistancy For Your On Line Business by Ida Mae Boyd

Internet Marketing Information

Follow Up Email AutoResponder Consistancy For Your On Line Business by Ida Mae Boyd

Having a way to consistently contact your customers is a big part of running a successful business online. The way this is usually done is through what is known as a follow up email autoresponder.

This is simply a tool that allows you to follow up with people who have shared their e-mail address with you. While there are many different autoresponder services available, they all have a few things in common.

1. A way to store contact information. This feature lies at the heart of any autoresponder. It is the database of all of the information you gather on your site for the purpose of sending out e-mail messages to people. A lot of businesses choose to only collect the person's name and e-mail address, but there is nothing stopping you from collecting their address, phone number and other information that is important to you. The follow up email autoresponder will then store all of this information for you so you can access it at any time. This is a necessary feature because it allows for the automation of sending messages by the autoresponder service.

2. Sending a series of preprogrammed messages. One of the greatest things about an autoresponder is that you only have to set up the messages once, if that is what you want to do. You compose the message, and then you tell the autoresponder at what intervals you want each message sent out. For example, your first message (Thank You! or Welcome message) would be sent out right away, your second and third message could be sent out the next day, your fourth through eighth messages can be sent out every three days, and so on. It doesn't matter when somebody subscribes to your e-mail lists, they will receive the first message based on when they sign up, and each additional message will arrive in their inbox at the interval you have chosen. It may sound a bit complicated but it really simplifies things once you get the hang of it.

3. Providing a web form. When auto responders were first released as a method of gathering information from your visitors, it was fairly common for the website owner to have to create the sign up form completely from scratch; this has changed. The follow up email autoresponder will give you a way to create a form to place on your website to capture the information you want to get from your site’s visitors. You create the form on the autoresponder site, and then copy and paste the code and place it onto your website wherever you want it to be seen.

The follow up email autoresponder is an essential tool for running a profitable business online. Without it, you will have to rely on people to keep coming back to your website to see whatever updates, or new offers you have available. But within autoresponder you are, in effect, visiting them as often as you like. This is a much smarter way of doing things; it will save you both time and money, and help you to run more of your business on autopilot.

Free Autoresponders Pro and Cons by Ida Mae Boyd

Internet Marketing Information

Free Autoresponders Pro and Cons by Ida Mae Boyd

When you are first starting out in Internet marketing there is definitely a lot that you're going to have to learn. After you have a better idea of what exactly it is that you're going to sell and who the people are that you're selling it to, you will need to get your web content online and get as many people to see it as possible.

The main thing you need to do is make sure that you're getting the information from those people (such as their name and e-mail address), so you can contact them whenever you need to.

This is a much better option than trying to get them to come to your website time after time. Setting up an autoresponder is the absolute best way for you to keep marketing to people on a repeated basis, however, paid autoresponders can range anywhere from $9-$25 each month and that's just for the entry-level price; they can often cost much more than that especially if you have a large list. But the question still remains our free auto responders actually a good option?

Believe it or not, there is actually a lot of debate in the Internet marketing community as to which is better: free or paid autoresponders. Let's take a look at some of the pros and cons of each then once you see what the benefits are of each one you will have a better idea of whether or not free autoresponders are the best choice for you.

Of course, the best thing about a free autoresponder is that it does not cost you any money. That way you will really get up and running and be able to start collecting names that you can market to repeatedly. At least that is the way it is supposed to work...in theory.

The reality is that a free autoresponder often has a lot of problems associated with it. For example, they are free for a reason, and that is they will often attached their own advertising to every message you send out. If you are serious about being in business for yourself, then it does not make a lot of sense to come across as unprofessional by slapping on ads that you have no control over. And that is what it is really about controlling your own business in a way that looks professional.

Now on the other hand, you may not have a lot of money to start your business with, that is okay. It happens. There is one other thing to think about though. If you start out collecting names using free autoresponders, and then later decide to upgrade to a paid autoresponder or leave that company, you may not be able to transfer all of the names you have on your free list to your newly paid for list.

So, while free autoresponders sound like they might be a really great deal, the truth is that they come with a lot of problems. That does not mean you cannot overcome those problems, but you need to be aware of them before you do something that you may regret later.

Instead of thinking of paid autoresponders as a cost, try thinking of them as an investment in your business and your future. But if you really must, a free autoresponder is better than having no autoresponder at all.

Do You Want To Sell Stuff On Ebay?

Internet Marketing Information

Do You Want To Sell Stuff On Ebay ?

Here Are Some Ins and Outs Of Ebay Selling By Ida Mae Boyd

Hey, I'm not telling you anything you don't already know when I tell you that the economy is running a little rough lately and many people are feeling the pinch. Now, more than ever, people are looking for ways to bring in a little extra money. One of the most popular methods to do that, at least online, is to sell stuff on ebay. But how easy is it really? Can you really make money?

The short answer is "yes" you can make money but learning to sell stuff on ebay is not without it's potential pitfalls. Just make sure you have a thorough understanding of the whole process before you jump in with both feet.

The biggest potential challenge you will face is having to pay the fees associated with listing an item for sale and than not selling that item. This is one of the worst scenarios since you will have money going out, but you won't have any coming in.

Another thing to keep in mind is that you will need an ongoing supply of things to sell. That can mean a lot of time spent going around to yard sales during the spring and summer months. Some people absolutely love that and for them, this aspect of the business is not a problem.

But, if you are the type of person who isn't interested in lurking around flea markets and garage sales, you need to take this factor into consideration before you decide that selling things online is the right way for you to make some extra money.

Having pointed out the negatives, let's take a look at some of the positive reasons you may want to consider making some extra money online:

1. While there are fees associated with putting things up for sale, they are very minimal. If you start small and only place an item or two for sale you won't risk losing much and if the products you are selling are popular and if you've priced them properly, you might just make some quick money.

2. You can research the market before you jump in. You can sign up for a free Ebay account and then spend some time looking around and getting acquainted with the process. Take a look at what things are selling for, what sells and what is still sitting and doesn't sell. Make note of what prices people are asking for certain types of products. All of this market research will help you establish a winning strategy for choosing the best products to sell and the best prices to sell them at.

3. Many people love the dynamic and exciting business of sales on an auction site. You may just find that you don't even feel like you are running a business, it might just seem like you are having fun and making money.

If you want to sell stuff on ebay to make money just make sure that you take a little time and familiarize yourself with the whole process. The more knowledge you have going in the more likely that you will actually make money.

Link Building Tools You May Want To Use

Link Building Tools You May Want To Use

Getting inbound links to your site is one of the most important aspects of effective SEO (search engine optimization) practice. Link building tools can make your life a lot easier when you're trying to structure your website to make it favorable in the eyes of the search engines. Each tool offers different value but here are a few that can help you out.

Analysis tools can tell you how many links point to a specific page or domain and/or which anchor text is being used significantly or even too much. These types of tools can give you a quick, superficial look at the status of websites but you will need some others to peform a more in-depth analysis.

SearchStatus is a group of features offered in a single Firefox plugin. It can provide you with useful information, such as Google Toolbar PageRank, page and domain links through the Yahoo SiteExplorer, WhoIs information, Google’s cache of the page you are visiting, an on page link report and Archive.org. Another very useful trick that SearchStatus offors is the option to highlight all nofollow links which can definitely come in handy when you are building links.

Another of the useful link building tools is LinkDiagnosis. This exists as a web based tool and a Firefox plugin. This one is similar to the Yahoo SiteExplorer except it attempts to filter out all low quality links, offers you a list of common anchor texts, and tries to show you a list with the most visited and popular pages of the domain you are investigating. One great feature of LinkDiagnosis is that you can download the data it provides you as a csv file this is extremely useful. Keep in mind when using this tool that an analysis of a larger website will take more time. A small website may only take a few seconds but a more content/page filled site could take up to 30 minutes.

If you need even more detailed data, you might want to look for tools that demonstrate link building efforts, structures and/or a history of the website. This kind of information can be helpful when you are trying to optimize your own website or that of a competitor.

SEOmoz’s Linkscape and MajesticSEO attempt to create the most complete index possible of the web for SEO purposes. Linkscape is considered more user-friendly while Majestic gets you a wider range of data which can also be downloaded.

Xenu’s Link Sleuth is another excellent tool for on-site analysis. It acts as a search engine crawler and checks websites for broken links and displays a continuously updated list of URLs, which you can sort by different criteria. Link Sleuth is a good way to get a look at your own website and to evaluate your internal link structure as well. And you can run reports on websites that you are considering getting links from to see what holes they may have in their site that you could possibly fill.

There are many link building tools to choose from. Hopefully these can get you started on the right foot.

Internal Link Building-Three Tips For Boosting Your Business by Ida Mae Boyd

Internet Marketing Information

Internal Link Building-Three Tips For Boosting Your Business by Ida Mae Boyd

Search engine optimization (SEO) is one of the most important skills that any Internet marketer can develop. After all, you want people to be able to find your website when they're performing a search on their favorite search engine.

By learning how to do SEO you increase your chances that they will find your website instead of one of your competitors. One of the ways to boost your ranking is through internal link building. Be careful though because there is a lot of misinformation about how to go about it the right way.

When it comes to internal link building you need to make sure that you take care of three things: in-context linking, site navigation and anchor text.

1. In-context linking.

These are the links that are found within the main body of your website.

Typically, these will be embedded directly in the words on your page, in context. In other words, as people are reading your site they may notice that they can click on the various words or phrases.

To the visitor it seems quite seamless, but in reality you have planned it out to get the best results from the placement of your internal link building. What the visitor will be clicking on, in their mind, are relevant words and they will be seeking out additional information. But you are setting it up so that those words are the keywords you are trying to rank for, and they will go to where you want them to go.

2. Site navigation.

In its simplest terms most people think of site navigation is how they get from one page to another. So, they see a back arrow or a link to the homepage and it helps them move around your site. While that is true, and it is very important to have good navigation, we are more concerned with building links for SEO purposes. Search engines typically like to see at least some basic pages on every site; the homepage, contact information, a privacy statement, and other basic pages should all be linked to each other from every page on your site.

3. Anchor text.

This is the text that appears instead of the link where people will be going. For example, a visitor to your site may see the words "click here", but what they're really clicking on is a link.

Now, if you are trying to rank for the phrase "click here" then that's fine, but chances are you're trying to rank for a different keyword. So, never waste a link by using generic anchor text when doing internal link building.

Let's say you have a website on painting houses; you could have the phrase "click here to get a house painting quote", but only the words "house painting quote" would have the link underneath them.

The idea is that you're trying to rank for the words house painting quote, so having those links will alert the search engines to pay more attention to that text.

Link Building Tips

Link Building Tips

Link building is one of the many tasks you need to allot time to when you're marketing online. And what business isn't marketing online nowadays? Link building refers to both incoming links and your internal linking structure. This post will provide you with some of the link building tips to get you started in the right direction.

First of all, before you even put your link building strategy into place, you want to make sure you are offering top-notch quality and information on your website. This is the foundation that holds it all together. Interesting and informative content will bring more links to your blog naturally, without you having to go out searching for them.

Make use of blog directories. There are quite a few blog directories where you can pick up a link to your blog. Just to mention a few. . .BlogHer is more geared towards women and BlogCatalog and MyBlogLog also include a social aspect to them. These can give you many ways to increase the number of incoming links to your blog just by registering.

Once you have a good amount of compelling content published on your blog, approach other bloggers with equal or more authority than your blog (you'll have to find this out by using various tools) and suggest a blogrooll reciprocal link. It's better to do this (1) when your blogs are relevant to each other and (2) when you have already been in contact with your potential link partner.

This is one of the best link building tips: Write an article on another site that allows guests. Just make sure that you add content to blogs that are higher ranked than yours.

Holding blog contests is a very effective way to drive traffic to your blog and increase your quantity of incoming links. How do you do this? You can actually promote your blog contest on a variety of blog contest promotion sites. You can even "bribe" contestants with extra entries if they write an article on their blog which links back to your article about the contest.

Create other content that links to your blog or even create another blog that links to your blog. And the key to making the most of this other content is to comment on other people's content. When you comment, make sure that you include the link back to your blog. It's important to remember that your comments should be informative and interesting, not simply spamming others with your link.

Joining forums is a great way to start building relationships with people and getting your blog noticed. Just make sure you include your blog url in your profile and signature.

Similarly, participating in social networking sites like Facebook allows you more opportunities to make your blog more visible. You will most likely include the link to your blog in the profile areas.

Hopefully these link building tips will be useful for you and your business.

Link Popularity

Internet Marketing Information

A Successful Website Needs Link Popularity

One way to gain popularity for your website is to build links that point back to your site. When the search engines see that you have a lot of other websites linking to your site they will know that your website is popular and will reward you with a higher search engine ranking.

Some website owners have misused the link building process by creating link farms for the sole purpose of building backlinks to their websites and the search engines have become aware of this and will restrict those websites to misuse the process. For those website owners who use the link building process correctly they can achieve very positive results.

You can give your website a very important internet presence when you use link building effectively.

The Following are some effective methods for building backlinks to your website.

Link exchanges. With a link exchange you contact other website owners and offer to swap links. You place a link to their website on your site and they return the favor and place a link to your website on their site. If you don't want an 'obvious' link swap you can try a three way link with another website owner so that no two websites are directly swapping.

Article Marketing. Write articles and submit them to article directories. Most article directories will allow you a resource box where you can include a link to your website. Good quality articles will get many readers and if you use your resource box wisely you can entice those readers to visit your website.

Article syndication. If the articles you submit to article directories are of high quality there is a good chance that they will be syndicated. This means that other website owners will publish your articles on their websites. The terms of website owners’ using your article is that they include the resource box that includes the link to your website. The more your articles are syndicated the more backlinks your article will give you.

Blog commenting. Find other blogs within your niche and leave comments and include a link to your website. Never spam blogs with your comments or they will most likely just get deleted. Instead, always leave good quality comments on blogs.

Forum marketing. Join some forums within your niche and include a link in your forum signature. You should always check the forum rules before doing so as some forums don't allow signature links. Be an active participant in the forum as the more posts that you make the more links you are building with your signature link. Leave information and helpful forum posts and other forum members are more likely to click on your link and visit your website.

When you get visitors to your website make sure that you keep those visitors coming back. Have an interesting site that gives your visitors what they are looking for.

A good, Informative and exciting website will keep your visitors coming back.

Internet Marketing Services - How to Get the Most Out of Them

If you are a small business and are not using the internet to Market your business you are missing the boat and leaving money on the table for your competitors to take.

Most small business owners understand that they need a website and many have spent a ton of money getting a really beautiful website created and live on the internet, however they are not generating leads or customers. Now that is a familiar sound.

Having a beautiful website does not guarantee more leads and customers, you need to get your website in front of your potential customers and demonstrate to your customers though your website that you are the best person/company who can solve their problems or provide what they are looking for.

With the internet being global and in almost every house hold and with faster and faster speeds available people are finding it easier, quicker and simply much more effective to go online to look for a product and/or service in their local area than to look though a big yellow pages book.

Many business owners are already experiencing a decrease from their newspaper advertising too, this is also being affected by the internet as more and more people simply go online or to their smart phones to get their daily news reports.

Search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing has realized this and are adapting their search results to how the web user searches.

The following are a few things a small business can do to take advantage of this trend.

1. Optimize your website: You must adapt your website to the way your target audience is searching, this means you need to determine what keywords and phrases your potential customers are typing in the search engines and optimize the pages on your website to target these keywords. This is known as SEO (Search Engine Optimization).

2. Another extremely important addition you should make to your website is to a contact form with and autoresponder attached to it. A contact form were your contact will put in their name and email address. An autoresponder is a system that will send information to your contacts Automatically once it is setup correctly. This will allow you to follow up and build a business relationship with the people interested in what you have to offer.

This is perhaps the most important element of any successful website it allows you to communicate with your targeted audience long after they have left your website and it can be done completely on auto pilot.

3. Promoting your website: Next you have to promote your website so people can find it, there are many ways you can do this and ideally you want to be promoting your website a variety of ways.

You can promote your site by getting it listed in the search engines for various keywords and keyword phrases your audience is searching for, add your site to social networking sites, write and submit articles to various directories, create videos and submit them to video sharing sites, or you can pay to advertise your website to show up on other sites or in the search engines too.

The internet provides many opportunities to promote your website outside of the search engines and you want to make sure you are taking advantage of these avenues also.

So how do you bring it all together?

Thankfully there are a few options available to help you execute this so you can start seeing results fast. The best way is to hire an internet marketing company and get them to do it for you. A word of warning, there are many people offering top search engine rankings, etc. but many simply get your website in the top of search results for keywords or Keyword phrases that simply don't get many searches a month and tell you they have done their job. The other ones who do deliver are typically very expensive because they know the value of their service.

Ways To Attract Prospect To Your Network Marketing Business

Are there any sure ways to attract network marketing prospects to your down line? This is a question that has plagued some network marketers for years. You would think, with the Internet at everyones disposal, that there must be some real solid methods to turn target traffic into hot prospects. To date, there does not seem to be one technique that will attract prospect to your network. It is a combined effort that always works the best.

Your company will be more than happy to tell you how to prospect leads for your down line. You have to wonder sometimes though, if anyone giving out this sagely advice has actually practiced it themselves.

1. Sign up your family, all of your relative, coworkers, friends, acquaintances and everyone else that comes within a few feet from you.

2. Buy prospect lead sheets, then cold call everyone of them.

3. Sell everyone on the company's compensation plan, because no one has a better one.

4. Go to every event that your company has scheduled, for all the distributors to attend.

5. Join different organizations within your community to prospect the members.

There are probably a few other tips your network marketing company can give you. Your company might even have a whole book you can purchase, that is loaded with all of these prospecting tips and many more.

Many network marketers will practice these tips, to generate leads for their down line and will give up trying; after reality hits them in the face. They try, then die. This is a big reason why so many independent, home based distributors give up on the network marketing business.

These tips are not realistic, in today saturated market. When you are being told to recruit everybody, then the message the company is telling you is; everyone will be interested in the products, the opportunities the company has to offer and that anyone will be good at marketing. How real is that?

By using attraction marketing methods on the Internet, you will be attracting individuals to your business opportunity that are truly interest in what you have to offer them. This means being creative and establishing yourself, so people begin to know, like and trust you.

Create video presentations you can use as marketing tools, posting them on your promotional website, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, My Space and various network blogs leaving back-links to your site. Begin to establish yourself as a presence in marketing forums and write articles to submit to article directories sites. The whole idea is to expose yourself to a wide audience in a more personal way, so others can relate to you as someone who is in charge and knows what they are doing.

The leads you get from this type of attraction marketing will be very solid leads. These people you attract, are honestly going to be interested in your network marketing venture, because you are behind it.

Creating video presentations and training videos might seem like a lot of work, yet it is not that difficult. Writing articles about your market and establishing yourself in forums is very straight forward. Sure, this takes time, but this will also secure your position as a respected expert in your field. Money just can't buy this type of advertising for you.

Network Marketing As a Career

With the Internet firmly in place, it is much easier to establish network marketing as a career alternative than ever before. The online network marketing boom is actually still in an infancy phase of development.

Today, there are thousands of network marketing companies that are thriving on the Internet. Of course, there are still many network scams going on, several of them, in fact. But this is a drop in the Internet bucket, in proportion to the many that are respected and are exactly what they claim to be.

Becoming an independent home based distributor for a network marketing company is not what it used to be. Just a few short years ago, network marketers were required to create their downlines by introducing friends, family and any one they had ever met before to be leads. It was up to the marketer to invade their personal lives and pitch everyone they had ever known to join their downline and become distributors just like them.

You can actually make a career out of being a network marketer today. Yes, this is what every network marketing company always promises to you anyway, but with the Internet available, it is true. Many thousands of independent home based distributors have quit their day jobs and are making very lucrative incomes by network marketing online.

The Internet has made all of this possible by having the ability for everyone to build their own promotional websites, along with the ability to drive huge amounts of traffic to their network sites. Once the traffic arrives, it is up to the network marketer to provide a reason for them to be there. This is marketing after all.

Network marketers use list building methods to develop good leads. It all sounds vague, but can be explained.

As a network marketer, you offer the traffic a way to sign up to your newsletter with their email. Yes, you also create the newsletter. In this way, your leads can stay informed about everything that is about your market. Tips, tricks, updates along with everyone else in your downline, on making a lot of money. Your leads should consider joining and being a member of your downline so they can make all of this money right along with the rest of your downline.

You have an auto responder that sends out your weekly, updated newsletters to everyone that has subscribed to receive it. This newsletter will also cover, all of the bonus trips for conventions to exotic locales, etc. that the subscriber missed because they were not signed up under you.

Eventually, many subscribers to your newsletter will breakdown and cry. They realize that they have been missing out. They hate their present jobs anyway and are looking for a way out that you provide! Suddenly, your leads join, converting themselves to your downline.

It is connecting the dots. The Internet leads to your promotional website. The website leads to methods to generate traffic to it (many, many easy techniques to generate good traffic). The traffic at your website wants to subscribe to your very lively, informative newsletter. The autoresponder insures that the subscriber all get your newsletters in their email. The newsletter will convert the leads into prospects. The prospects will join your program and become your downline.

Life should be this easy. This all takes some time to do. The good news is, as a network marketer, you do not have to find very many resources on you own. Your entire network will help you duplicate their methods so you can start generating hot leads in no time.

Getting Targeted Traffic To Your Website

I know you have seen countless articles that talk about the importance of generating target traffic to your website. Right?

In fact it is nearly impossible to have a profitable internet business without traffic. The importance of traffic generation cannot be overstated. So, we can agree that traffic is an essential element for any business.

How do we speed up our website traffic?

If you already have a website you might be wondering how to get it noticed on the web. Perhaps you are selling the same product as hundreds of other internet marketers, but just can't seem to find away to get your share of the traffic.

You need to take a look at your traffic generating plan.

The following are seven ways that can help you to get alot of traffic to your website.

1. PAY PER CLICK ADVERTISING

Google Adwords and Yahoo Overture are advertising systems that can provide vast amounts of targeted traffic to your website. Although with this proven technique can deliver tons of traffic they do so at a cost.

Every time a prospect clicks on your ad you are charged for it. It doesn't matter if they purchase anything on your website. One of the advantages of pay-per-click advertising is that you can be very specific about how much you want to spend on a per click and per day basis.

You can also target specific keywords to ensure that your visitors will be interested in your products and services.

As you can see this can be expensive, but if done right it can literally flood your site with traffic.

2. LINK EXCHANGE

When exchanging links with other sites, both sites can benefit. Now certainly not all sites are created equally.

Linking to high traffic sites will help you with the search engines. It will also allow you to get traffic directly from the other website. This strategy takes more time than pay-per-click advertising, but can be very powerful.

3. USE VIRAL MARKETING

Viral marketing allows you to spread the word about your company's products and services with minimal cost.

This method takes a bit more time to develop, but can help generate traffic for an extended period of time. The basic strategy is to somehow attach your company name, website address, affiliate link, etc. into an item that you can give away to your visitors.

An example might be a how-to video. If people like the video they will probably keep a copy and pass it along to others.

As the how-to video spreads around the internet your company name, website address, affiliate link, etc. spreads with it.

Viral marketing could be thought of as an electronic form of word of mouth marketing. Viral marketing can be used with a wide variety of products such as articles, software, screen savers, music, and eBooks.

The point is that you need to embed your information into products that people want and will share. Viral should not be confused with viruses. It is a very powerful low cost approach to traffic generation.

4. USE PROPER KEYWORDS ON YOUR SITE

Having the good keyword or phrase is an important factor in ranking well in the search engines.

Once you identify your sites keywords, you need to optimize your site for those keywords. What I mean is that you must write keyword rich content on your website.

5. WRITING ARTICLES

Submit original articles written by you to article directories to generate links to your site.

These links will help your site to rank well with the search engines. Well written articles will help to bring interested clients to your website.

6. JOIN AND POST ON FORUMS

Show your expertise by posting on forums. Most forums allow participants to include a link below their signature. Not only will you establish trust and credibility on the forum, you will generate additional links to your site.

7. PUBLISHING NEWSLETTERS

Share your knowledge with readers by publishing a newsletter. If you can peak your readers curiosity they will reward you with traffic.

If you are competing online you must strive to stay a step ahead of you competition. Some of these strategies will require time, others can literally generate traffic with the flip of a switch.

In order to ensure a steady stream of traffic you will need to utilize a combination of these seven strategies.

3 Reasons Your Prospects Aren't Buying From You

You've worked for months to create the perfect ebook. It includes the answer to every possible question your prospects could have. You've created a sales page.

You even offered a discount and threw in a lot of bonuses. So why aren't they buying?

Despite what all the "instant experts" may tell you about how you can generate millions of dollars of sales simply by purchasing their program and doing this and that, the reality is there's a system to building your business whether it is online or offline.

Before you start any new business, product or service, you must decide on the following 3 things:

1. IS THERE A NEED?

Is there a group of people who believe they have a need or want which you can fulfill?

Notice the language. . . I did not ask if YOU THINK there's a need. What you think is irrelevant unless you plan on purchasing your own products.

2. DO THEY KNOW, LIKE AND TRUST YOU?

Have you built a relationship with the people you are asking to purchase your products and services or do you fly in, offer to sell something and then disappear until the next offer?

Too often, I receive emails which call themselves newsletters, but are nothing more than sales letters which contain NO content. When that happens I look for the UNSUBSCRIBE link.

You want to take the time to get to know your prospects and clients.

3. WHY ARE YOU SPECIAL?

What do you offer your customers and prospects that your competitors do not?

What makes you different?

Many experts say you should share the "what" and the "why", but not the "how" until your prospect purchases something.

I disagree in that it's not authentic to me to do that. If you've been on any of my calls, you know I believe in giving a lot of content. Now that makes me special from other coaches.

I'm a teacher at heart. What makes YOU special in your industry?

If your prospects aren't buying from you, you're missing at least one of the above three critical components of a successful and profitable client/vendor relationship.

Always remember, in designing your business, regardless of your industry, you have to be constantly aware of what your clients and prospects are searching for even as you build a business to suit your lifestyle.

Your Challenge

Starting with your business, step out of the box and ask each of the questions above from an objective point of view.

If your business passes, ask the same questions for each product and/or service you offer or plan to offer.

Once you have the answers, you can confidently move on.

Network Marketing Terms Explained

The following are common Network Marketing Terms that you must know and understand:

Network Marketing and MLM (Multi Level Marketing)

MLM is similar to network marketing in that anyone you sponsor/sign-up to an opportunity becomes your 1st level member. Anyone your 1st level member sponsors becomes your 2nd level member, anyone your 2nd level member sponsors becomes your 3rd level member. And so on.

The difference between the two is that with MLM you only earn from enrolling new distributors/affiliates, with Network Marketing you can earn an income just from selling the products and earn from a combination of your sales and your downline's.

Downline

This is the network family tree of your sponsored members and their sponsored members and their sponsored members etc etc.

Upline

This is the family tree going backwards showing the person who sponsored you, then the person who sponsored them and so on.

Commission Plan or Pay Plan

The important factor with network marketing is the structure of commissions earned at each level of your downline. eg 10% of 1st level sales, 40% 2nd level sales and 10% 3rd level sales.

This will then be followed by various bonuses based on total sales volumes etc, such as 2% of total business sales divided among qualifying members.

BV

Bonus Value. A reference figure relating to the amount of sales made. Commissions are paid based on BV. Think of BV as business volume where 1 BV point usually equates to just over $1 of sales.

Auto Ship

An insurance policy with added benefits. Commissions are usually only paid if you meet minimum BV requirements.

So, if you don't sell enough product (or any at all) auto ship automatically orders the minimum requirement for you.

The reason for minimum order requirements is for both business and legal reasons - if you are not an active representative, you are not entitled to commissions (stops people from just promoting the opportunity and never selling or using any products)

These are some of the many terms you will come across when reviewing any business opportunity.

Hosting Your Website

There are hundreds if not thousands of web hosting services available to you. The following are key things to look for when deciding on a Web Hosting company:

Key Things You Need To Know When Selecting a Web Hosting Company

The first thing is to understand the meaning of web hosting.

Web Hosting is renting space on a high powered computer known as a web server. These web servers are connected to the Internet.

When your website or web pages are put on a web server it is made available to be viewed by anyone who knows the address for your website or web page. Your website can also be found based on the keywords that are on your web pages via search engines.

Web Hosting Service Reliability and Speed

It is extremely important that the web hosting service is reliable and fast. A website that is frequently down will lose a lot of visitors. If someone finds your website via a search engine, and it is down your visitor will click on the next link on the list.

Slow internet connections are very frustrating for visitors; visitors will not wait for your website to load.

You will also become frustrated when you are trying to upload something to your site. So speed and reliability is very important.

Data Transfer (Traffic/Bandwidth)

Data transfer is sometimes referred to as traffic or bandwidth it is the amount of bytes/characters transferred from your website to visitors when they browse your website.

Be cautious when you see advertisements that state Unlimited Bandwidth.

The hosting company has to pay for the bandwidth and if you use a lot of it, they will not bear your costs. So look for details on how much traffic/bandwidth the package includes.

Web/Disk Space

A basic web site with just a few pages requires less than 1 Million Bytes/Characters of web/disk space. As you add more content and include things like downloadable files, pictures, music, and video you will need more web/disk space. Email also takes up disk space. If you have an account with a small amount of disk space I recommend that you go through your account from time to time and delete unnecessary files.

Each web hosting company has their own policy about going over the disk space allocation but it is safe to say that you will be charged for the extra space.

Often this penalty is much higher than regular rates for disk space so it is important to keep an eye on how much space you are using and if you are approaching the limit, either purchase more space or delete some files. Most sites need less than 10 Million Bytes of web space.

Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Secure Server, MySQL, Shopping Cart

If you are planning on doing business through your website, you want to see if the hosting company provides SSL (secure server), MySQL and Shopping Cart facilities.

Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is a global standard security technology developed by Netscape in 1994. It creates an encrypted link between a web server and a web browser to ensure that all data transmitted remains private and secure. Millions of consumers recognize the golden padlock which appears in their browser to indicate they are viewing a secure web page.

MySQL is a database program that stores and processes information

These services normally involve a higher priced package or additional charges. The main thing is to check to see if they are available before you commit to hosting your website with them. You will definitely need SSL if you plan on collecting credit card information on your site.

Control Panel (CPanel)

Make sure that there is a user friendly Control Panel. The CPanel enable you to control and manage all aspects of you website. Such as uploading and downloading files and folders to your website, setting up and accessing your email account, etc.

Technical support Services

Make sure that the web hosting company provides technical support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week all year around.

I will not accept a hosting company that does not have staff working on weekends or public holidays. As we know things go wrong at the most inopportune times.

By the way, just because a Hosting Company advertises that it has 24/7 support does not necessarily mean that it really has that kind of service.

Test them out by emailing them at midnight and on Saturday nights, Sunday mornings, etc.

Notice how long it takes for them to respond to you and rather or not they have answered your questions or concerns correctly.

Network Marketing Systems

A network Marketing system provides all the information on the opportunity, answers your prospects questions, helps sign them up and duplicates to give them the same tools.

Better network marketing systems will also have member areas with training guides and numerous tips.

Some may also contain chat rooms, forums and downline viewers, totally free of charge!

A lot of existing network marketing systems get prospects to join to gain access to the Member Area before actually joining the core opportunity.

You will find that the best opportunities combine numbers 1 and 3 above using a front end system that handles everything for you, from sales to recruiting.

So whatever path you decide is right for you, the secret of the whole system is to join a network marketing system based on that path to handle your prospects, optimize commissions and introduce the opportunity.

Or, more importantly, a system that provides you and your future sign-ups a simple marketing plan, trains you on how to use it and therefore trains your sign-ups to do the same.

The secret to success in network marketing is a simple duplicable system that anyone can follow, not just experienced networkers.

Both online, offline and a combination of the two, for both part-time and full-time participants. PLUS a product you truly believe in.

No sensible networker will ever advise you to rely 100% on the systems, and with very good reason.

The systems assist you in every aspect of your business, but the power of network marketing only begins to multiply when you keep your downline growing too.

This can only be done by building relationships with your team, no computer can do that.

Network Marketing Methods

A Network Marketing method is a method used by a business opportunity, or its structure. Depending on your current circumstances, skills, time constraints etc. you will choose the method most suited to your situation.

The following are summaries of the main three methods you will encounter in Internet Marketing:

1) Network Marketing or Direct Selling

This is the deep end of the business opportunity pool.

You must often invest a lot more time and money into these opportunities, receive training and work as a team. It can be a lot harder to get people to sign-up and even harder to teach your sign-ups to get other people to sign-up. You will find commission plans paying most on 2nd and 3rd level sales for obvious reasons, it promotes growth. Potential earnings are also far greater than any other method and is also the only method that has true 'residual income'. However - it is not always as hard as it first seems with the right support systems and training in place (more on this later!)

2) MLM Cyclers

Usually your first steps into MLM. These are the ones to be very careful with.

Consider these as Network Marketing for beginners. You pay one initial sign-up fee which should actually buy you something (if it doesn't it may well be a scam).

When you have signed-up a fixed number of new people you get a payout, some more product and re-entry into the system (hence a cycle).

These are the cheapest way to get involved in an MLM Business Opportunity. The only flaw with these systems is that because nobody is buying a regular BV, commissions are only generated from new sign-ups.

And you will need more sign-ups every time you cycle. And don't expect most cycler programs to still be around in 5 years time!

These are not recommended.

3) Affiliate Programs

Affiliate Programs are the most basic types of business opportunities.

An affiliate program is a program of selling a company's product by sending people to your affiliate website.

Straight commission per sale, sometimes 2 tier (2 level - earn from signing up other associates).

If you have a popular website this is the easiest way to generate short term income by selecting a related product of interest to your current website traffic. i.e. don't promote beachwear on an Eskimo website
